It's hard to understand, why D100 DLSR has no way how to control exposure remotely. Ok, there is ultra-classical screw on the shutter button and USB cable, but I need something in the middle. Simple timer for long-time astronomical exposures in bulb mode. Using of USB is not convenient in this case, because you are outdoors with the telescope and battery working time of the notebook is not even half of the night :( So Nikon hardware hijack take a place with a couple of wires outgoing from the chasis. Then small microprocessor driven timing unit was designed to control the camera exposure.

Těžko k pochopení, že zrcadlovka D100 nemá možnost dálkového řízení expozice. Jasně, má závit na spoušti pro klasickou "drátěnku" a USB kabel, ale bylo prostě potřeba něco mezi tím. Jednoduchý časovač pro dlouhé expozice na astrofotografii (v Bulb módu). Použití USB je dost nepraktické, protože jste s dalekohledem venku a notebook vydrží na baterky sotva půlku noci. Takže Nikon byl háknut, byl z něj vyveden kablík pro řízení spouště. Ten byl připojen k postavené mikroprocesorové jednotce, která se stará o expozici.
